Insurance Question after Accident?

I was in a car accident and i was hit on the rear right side of my car. i thought i had enough time to make the left turn so after slowing down and putting on my blinker and the car was a decent distance away. I made the left and boom he hit my rear right door on my car. No injuries occured and no skid marks were there. I am being sued now. Can the other person make up an injury and since there was no injuries reported at the time and no skid mark so he clearly made no attempt to stop. He was most likely going to fast and my front 2 airbags went off and so did my side curtain ones. If both got out ok and my insurance is good i dont understand why i would be sued? and will my case hold up in court
